Childhood Memories of Star Wars

WeblogPoMo2024

Ahh, May 4th, also known as May the 4th, also known simply as Star Wars Day.

I’ve been a Star Wars to some degree since the age of four, when I first watched the original trilogy with my uncles. I fell in love with Luke Skywalker when I got a little older because, let’s face it, Mark Hamill was (and still is!) pretty good-looking. When I grew a little older still, it was Princess Leia.

All these years later, after so many other Star Wars films (including that horrid prequel trilogy), I still gravitate toward those original three. I think it’s because they remind me of my childhood and times when my entire family would get together just because.

And as is tradition, I’ll be watching at least those three films today. If I had been able to go to Florida with my parents, I would’ve driven to Disney World to visit Oga’s Cantina.

May the 4th Be With You.
(I’m sorry.)
(Just kidding.)
