My Analog Writing Tools
WeblogPoMo2024I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m one of those people who jumps on every shiny new productivity app that comes along. It’s a bit of an addiction, I guess.
But every time I try a new app that I swear will make me more productive, I always end up falling back on my favorite analog tools.
What are those tools?
Well, you’ll never find me without a notebook, despite having a smartphone. I keep my bullet journal in something small, usually a Field Notes book. They’re well-made and incredibly portable.
The pens I use can vary because I have a bit of an addiction to those as well (no surprise there). A few of my favorites are the PaperMate Profile, the Sharpie S-Gel, and the Pilot JuiceUp 04. As far as fountain pens go, I really love the Pilot Vanishing Point Decimo.
I also use this Ink+Volt Dashboard Deskpad to help keep myself focused, especially on busy days. It’s been a lifesaver when I have projects with multiple stages and tasks.
And there you have it. It’s a small and simple list, but I’ve always worked better on paper. It’s been easier to work through my thoughts that way.
Given the community around bullet journaling and analog tools, I know I’m not the only one.
